The One thing your dentist is not telling you about braces

Alright this is CRAZY...

You wouldn't believe this

If you have never been to the dentist for your braces but want to then WAIT!

Do not take another step to the clinic until you have read this quick article and discoverd the one thing dentists won't tell you about braces

If you read this quick article to the end, you will discover :

1. The silly mistake you're making while in a Consultation with your Orthodontist (dentist)

2. The totally little known trick that will help you enjoy your teeth alignment even with babies in teething

You would like to learn this right?

Well I knew you would,

See when our paitents learnt this one thing, it helped them with any pains they had, before, during and after the procedure

Infact only this alone helped save them money from coming back again and again for new procedures.

Do want these results for yourself?

I will give you something that will give you these results quickly

It's called the Braces Be Gone Cheat Sheet

You see...

There are different types of braces and you might have heard of a few, like :

the metal brackets and wires that most people picture when they hear the word "braces."

Or

the Ceramic, Lingual & Invisalign braces

Look...

The assumption is that braces are all about giving a patient perfectly straight teeth. While this is one of the main aims of wearing them, it is not the only objective.

Dental braces achieve a lot more.

This is why, when you as a patient attends a consultation for braces, your orthodontist is supposed to examine your mouth for a lot of different issues.

Not just for perfect straight teeth

So Ask your Orthodontist to do exactly that!

By doing that they will build up a

comprehensive oral review and be worth your payment for Consultation

They might ask if you ever experienced pain in the jawbone. Do you ever have any problems with bleeding gums? Do any of your teeth feel loose or jagged? Can you stick your tongue out of the front of your teeth?

Answer these questions honestly

You get the picture now right?

Well not only that but...

Your Bite May Also Need to Be Fixed

As well as determining whether your teeth are straight, your orthodontist will check to see if your bite is healthy.

The ‘bite’ is what happens when you close your two rows of teeth and then open them up again.

When you do this, the rows should meet, but not grind or exhibit too much abrasion.

Similarly, there should be no big gaps anywhere along the line where the two rows of teeth meet.

This is an important part of making sure that your mouth functions correctly.  Issues with your bite can lead to TMJ related headaches and problems with chewing and speaking, if left untreated.

You see...

Appointments for your braces are more than just getting yout pearly whites straight and beautiful

They can mean the difference between a quick fix for a minor dysfunction and an unnoticed problem that turns into a major challenge.

And now, it's your turn, you can get a Consultation for your braces for free if you contact the foundation right now.

http://www.idealdentalfoundation.org/contact

In less than 3-4 minutes you would have booked a personalized Consultation that will suit your dental needs

Infact by the 2nd minute, your contact details will be taken and a special code will be given to you to ensure you book your spot.

By the time you are done with the Consultation, you will be set to have not just a truly beautiful teeth but a painless bite for those extra juicy chicken bones

Oral health Care that saves you from mouth diseases and puts money in your bank!

Your teeth are strong, resilient and meant to last a lifetime -- but that doesn't mean you don’t have to take care of them. Find out what the keys to good oral health care are.

Taking care of your teeth is one of the best investments that you can make. You're gonna want to eat, you're gonna want to smile, you're gonna want to be healthy your whole life. Oral health is integral to that.

How is Good Oral Hygiene Practiced?

Maintaining good oral hygiene is one of the most important things you can do for your teeth and gums. Healthy teeth not only enable you to look and feel good, they make it possible to eat and speak properly. Good oral health is important to your overall well-being.

Daily preventive care, including proper brushing and flossing, will help stop problems before they develop and is much less painful, expensive, and worrisome than treating conditions that have been allowed to progress.

In between regular visits to the dentist, there are simple steps that each of us can take to greatly decrease the risk of developing tooth decay, gum disease and other dental problems.

These include:

Brushing thoroughly twice a day and flossing daily

Eating a balanced diet and limiting snacks between meals

Using dental products that contain fluoride, including toothpaste

Rinsing with a fluoride mouthrinse if your dentist tells you to

Making sure that your children under 12 drink fluoridated water or take a fluoride supplement if they live in a non-fluoridated area.

Taking care of your teeth by seeing a dentist is how it's done.

If there's something wrong with your teeth, your teeth aren't gonna heal themselves, you really need to see a dentist. It's also the least expensive way of taking care of your teeth is to see a dentist on a regular basis. The more you put it off generally the more expensive it's gonna be.

The key to seeing a dentist regularly is finding a dentist that you really love and that's why IDEAL DENTAL FOUNDATION exists, to advice you with a dentist that you're gonna want to see on a regular basis, take care of your teeth, stay healthy, have a great smile, eat, enjoy all those things your whole life.

Exclusive: Step by step brushing

Studies have indicated that electric toothbrushes can be incredibly effective in removing dental plaque when used correctly.
Dental plaque is a community composed of oral bacteria and too much of the stuff can increase the odds of developing cavities and other dental issues. Dentists suggest brushing teeth for a solid two minutes to lower the levels of the compound, but the reality is most people do not dedicated enough time to brushing and only commit about 45 seconds to their efforts.

Electric toothbrushes can make the job easier as they can prevent physical exhaustion (allowing for longer brushing sessions) and some devices have internal timers that can make people fully aware of their brush times.

By now, brushing your teeth is second nature. And that's a good thing because one of the best ways to avoid a host of dental diseases and complications is to brush your teeth at least twice a day. But for tooth brushing to be truly effective, you have to know how to brush properly.

Most of us were just kids when we were first taught how to brush our teeth. Our parents may have done a great job teaching us, but it's always a good idea to brush up on your brushing techniques.

Tooth Brushing Made Easy

For truly clean teeth, dentists recommend that you brush for at least two minutes -- not 15 or 30 seconds -- two whole minutes. An easy way to make sure you're brushing long enough is to buy an electric toothbrush with a built-in timer. There are also children's toothbrushes that light up when it's time for your child to stop brushing. However you time it, don't skimp on the length of time you brush -- the two minutes are vital!

Tips on how to brush properly:

- Use short, back-and-forth and up-and-down strokes.

- Pay special attention to your gum line, back teeth and areas around any tooth filling or restoration you might have.

- Clean the inner and outer surfaces of your upper teeth first, and then clean your lower teeth.

- Brush or scrape your tongue to help prevent bad breath.

Don't forget to floss! Brushing and flossing is like peanut butter and jelly -- when you think of one you can't help but think of the other. It may seem tedious, but flossing every day is one of the best things you can do for your oral health.

Death By Gum Disease

Ever noticed after brushing and your tongue touches the inner part of your teeth, suddenly you feel a sticky film on the inside of your teeth when what you're looking at in the mirror looks clean and good to go?

Well that sticky film is a bacteria called plaque, which if left to build up causes gum disease

Most people don't bother when they first notice this sticky film but after awhile start noticing their gums changing colour to a brown or darker colour

Scaling and root planing is the procedure used to combat the Gum disease, it's a deep cleaning below the gumline used to treat gum disease from plaque

Plaque is always forming on your teeth, but if they aren’t cleaned well, the bacteria in plaque can cause your gums to become inflamed.

When this happens, your gums will pull away from your teeth and form spaces called pockets. Plaque then gets trapped in these pockets and cannot be removed with regular brushing. If untreated, gum disease could lead to bone and tooth loss

If gum disease is caught early and hasn’t damaged the structures below the gum line, a professional cleaning should do. If the pockets between your gums and teeth are too deep, however, scaling and root planing may be needed

If you already have inflamed gums and pains in your gums, you need to see a dentist ASAP to avoid bone and tooth loss

For parents, check your children's teeth regularly to make sure plaque doesn't build up and also show them the correct method of brushing their gums

Getting Sparkling Instant Whites

🚨🚨 So you just finished whitening or brushing your teeth 😁😁

H do you keep them white and sparkling ❓

📃📃Here are top four tips from Dr. Judith that will help your smile sparkle

1. Take More Dairy products, cheese and yogurt

Dairy products decreases gum disease and helps to develop and maintain the whiteness of our teeth. Along with protecting and strengthening the enamel, hard cheeses like cheddar, is more effective at cleaning and whitening the teeth than softer cheeses

2. Eat fruits

Sometimes when you tend to be in a hurry and miss out on brushing your teeth, it’s recommended to eat fibrous fruits that act as a natural brush for your teeth. Citrus fruit act as natural stain remover as they cause the mouth to produce more saliva, which help clean the teeth and whiten them. Also fruits rich in vitamin C like strawberries, kiwis strengthen your gums. Apple and pears are also very useful as they have a high content of water in it that stimulates saliva

3. Stay away from mouthwash, coffee and sodas

Coffee, sodas and sometimes even mouthwash causes yellow stains to your teeth. Hence we must stay away from the same

4.Use a straw
Using a straw can prevent you from getting stains on the teeth. While drinking any coloured drink it will help prevent teeth from stains. This is because the application of straw causes the drink to reach behind the mouth, without coming in contact with your teeth

TOOTH WEAR

Hello world!!

so today we will be looking at "tooth wear lesions"

this is a condition where there is loss of the hard tissue of the teeth not caused by decay or trauma.

the causes of this condition could be :

-physiological (ie due to normal functioning)

-pathological (caused by abnormal reasons or conditions)

In the coming weeks we will be shedding more light on the possible pathological causes but today we will be looking at the physiological cause; attrition

ATTRITION

this is a condition usually seen in the elderly where the edges of the teeth look filed and are short in length

this is caused by years of usage, coarse diet and the action of the upper teeth against the lower teeth or grinding of the teeth(which some people do as a habit)

when severe, there could be sensitivity, and the teeth might become more prone to decay

Things to do:

if you or anyone you know has grinded down teeth especially if it has become sensitive, please do well to visit the nearest dental facility for management.

stay healthy!!!!

ORAL ,HEAD, AND NECK CANCER AWARENESS WEEK!!

Hello world. So this week is for awareness on oral, head and neck cancers

Oral, head and neck cancers refer to many types of cancers, including those that arise in the nasal cavity, sinuses, lips, mouth, thyroid glands, salivary glands, throat or larynx (voice box).

Most oral cancers arise on the lips, tongue or the floor of the mouth. They also may occur inside your cheeks, on your gums or on the roof of your mouth. Oropharyngeal cancers related to HPV are often found in the tonsil or base of tongue. Other head and neck cancers arise from the voice box or throat, or from salivary (spit) glands or the thyroid gland.

Risk Factors include:

*Tobacco (including smokeless tobacco)

*Alcohol use

People who use both tobacco and alcohol are at greater risk for developing these cancers than people who use either tobacco or alcohol alone. (Source: National Cancer Institute).

*Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Throat Cancer
-Researchers have correlated the increase of head and neck cancer incidence in young adults, a group traditionally at low risk, to the human-papillomavirus (HPV); a cancer-causing virus that can be transmitted through oral sex. Many studies support that oropharyngeal cancers – those affecting the tonsils, back of the mouth (throat) and base of the tongue – have been on the rise since the mid-1980s, and currently 50-70 percent of these cases are caused by HPV infections.(Source:OHANCAW 2018 fact sheet)

look out for:
• A red or white spot in your mouth that doesn't heal or that increases in size
• Sore throat or swollen tonsil
• Changes in your voice
• A lump in your neck
• Earache
• Difficulty swallowing

Above all, avoid the risk factors and go for a screening at the nearest facility.

Stay Healthy!!!
